Students who do not attend class on or prior to the census date will be administratively dropped. Effective Fall, 2016
Students who wish to withdraw from a course must complete all steps indicated on the Academic Withdrawal Request form by the course withdrawal deadline.
NOTE: Students who are attending Texas institutions of higher education, for the first time fall 2007 and later, may not withdraw from more than six courses during their academic career. End-of-Course Outcomes: Identify layout and hand tools; describe the proper use of layout and hand tools; list the safety procedures in operating a pedestal grinder; demonstrate proper use of layout tools using precision and semi-precision procedures; adjust clearances on the tool rest and the spark arrestor on the pedestal grinder; perform grinding procedures on twist drills and tool blanks; and perform grinding wheel replacement.

Course Evaluations:
Students should complete all performance tasks on time at REQUIRED MASTERY LEVEL. Tasks, projects, and various assignments will be scored based on time; accuracy; neatness; completeness; procedure; skill; detail; motivation and attitude; safety practices; clean up; care of manuals, logbooks, and references; and other grading criteria. No task shall be rated until assignment is complete and correct. Complete shall include condition and cleanliness of equipment; clean up of work areas; tool condition and return of all supplies and materials to their proper location. Correct means that projects meets all print specifications in order to be graded.

Textbook Reading: Required readings are to be completed prior to class, this will help you be prepared for class discussion.
Textbook Section Questions: Assigned questions are due no later than the beginning of the first class of the next week. This will allow you a weekend to complete your assignment. You need not write out the question, just the answers in a neat and legible manner. Week 4 textbook questions are due immediately after taking final.
