Students who do not attend class on or prior to the census date will be administratively dropped. Effective Fall, 2016

Student Withdrawal Procedures

Students who wish to withdraw from a course must complete all steps indicated on the Academic Withdrawal Request form by the course withdrawal deadline.

NOTE: Students who are attending Texas institutions of higher education, for the first time fall 2007 and later, may not withdraw from more than six courses during their academic career. This withdrawal limitation does not include dual credit or developmental classes (Senate Bill 1231 Rule 4.10.) Student Performance

All students are expected to act in a professional manner.  Remember this is the start of your professional career.

All assignments will be due at the start of the next class day.  At the beginning of each class, sign in and turn in homework.  Any homework after 8:00 is considered late and will not be accepted.  If there are questions, come by room 153 in SSC or call: 335-4300.  I am available after class.  

Any work done during class may or may not be graded, but it will be checked for completion.  If not complete, a grade of zero may be put in the grade book.

If you are an active staff or faculty member according to Human Resources, use "Exchange". All other students, use "AC Connect (Google) Email".

Expected Student Behavior

Wear uniform shirt with tail tucked in and shirt buttoned; conform to East Campus dress code.  No hats or ball caps in classroom or lab.

Attend class and be on time.  At the start of each class sign in and turn in homework.  Late homework will not be accepted and a zero will be put in the grade book..

Bring materials to class.  Class room work may or may not be graded, but will be checked for completion.

Abide by classroom rules.

Be courteous and respectful to others.

Follow Amarillo College Code of Conduct.

NO CELL PHONES.  Student can be removed from class after 2nd warning.

Attendance

Attendance is required.  Three tardies will result in final grade being reduced by 5 points and three absences will result in final grade being reduced by 8 points.

Class time is 8:00 am to 11:50 am Monday and Wednesday.
