Students who wish to withdraw from a course must complete all steps indicated on the Academic Withdrawal Request form by the course withdrawal deadline.
NOTE: Students who are attending Texas institutions of higher education, for the first time fall 2007 and later, may not withdraw from more than six courses during their academic career. <p>Prerequisite: MATH 1414-minimum grade of C or Department Chair consent</p>
In-depth study and applications of trigonometry including definitions, identities, inverse functions, solutions of equations, graphing and solving triangles. Additional topics such as vectors, polar coordinates and parametric equations may be included.

Students enrolled in an educational program in preparation for obtaining certain occupational licenses are potentially ineligible for such license if the student has been convicted of an offense. The further information you will receive will include notification to you of your right to request a criminal history evaluation letter from the licensing authority in order to clarify your particular situation.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES: Upon successful completion of this course, students will:
1. Compute the values of the trigonometric functions for key angles in all quadrants of the unit circle measured in both degrees and radians.
2. Graph trigonometric functions and their transformations.
3. Prove trigonometric identities.
4. Solve trigonometric equations.
5. Solve right and oblique triangles.
6. Use the concepts of trigonometry to solve applications.

GRADING CRITERIA/GRADE SCALE: Your course grade of A (90-100), B (80-89), C (70-79)and F (below 70) will be computed as the average of the earned grades from each six weeks: Homework 20%, Tests 60%, A comprehensive final will be given and count 20% of your semester grade.
Please remember the deadline for dropping a class at AC during this Spring 2018 Semester is April 20, 2018. If you stop completing assignments, and your average falls below 60 due to missed assignments, and you do not officially drop the course by this deadline, you will receive an “F” for the course.
