Students who wish to withdraw from a course must complete all steps indicated on the Academic Withdrawal Request form by the course withdrawal deadline.
NOTE: Students who are attending Texas institutions of higher education, for the first time fall 2007 and later, may not withdraw from more than six courses during their academic career. This withdrawal limitation does not include dual credit or developmental classes (Senate Bill 1231 Rule 4.10.) Access to a PC (personal computer) running the Windows 7 (or above) operating system. Computers are available in the CIS Computer Lab on the 2nd Floor of the Byrd Business Building (Washington Street Campus, Amarillo College).
In this course, we will be learning the Structured Query Language (SQL) that is designed for managing data in the Relational DBMS environment. We will be using Transact-SQL (T-SQL) with Microsoft SQL Server. We will be learning how to install SQL Server, install SQL Server Databases, querying a SQL Server DB using T-SQL, create database objects. We will also be looking at tools that will help administer a SQL Server. In addition we will be revisiting the database concepts that we looked at in the Beginning database class - Relational Database Theory, Database Design Process, ERD, Normalization etc.
