Meetings:  Every effort should be made to attend the scheduled jock meeting. Scheduling, station operational policies, remote and promotional plans, plus related activities will be discussed. You may miss 1 meeting with no penalty. Missing 2 or more meetings will result in 30 point (for each absence) deduction from final grade. For more than 5 absences the student will be suspended from FM90 and should drop the course.

Live Events:

Yellow City Sounds Live Concerts in PPBS Studio: Calendar will be updated as these are scheduled. Radio II students will participate in helping set up studio and record audio and video of the concerts as a production exercise.

Live Remotes:

FM90 Staff will have many opportunities to be part of live remotes on the Washington Street Campus (and possible other locations). Campus events like blood drives or Badgerama, Ranger publication days, and others. Radio II Students will participate in at least two of these this semester. Specific dates will be announced with time to plan for there to be students to be at the remote plus a student to air it on FM90.

In addition, Radio II students will help in the creation of content for FM90 featuring student groups and other Amarillo College employees. More details to come on this.

Class meetings are to demonstrate production techniques, make assignments, and allow time for air check critiques. The absence policy that applies to the Jock Meetings also applies to class meetings. Students must attend a scheduled air check meeting as assigned by instructor.

Additionally, the following policies must be observed:

1.  Failure to pull an assigned board shift may result in a 20 point deduction from your final grade and may result in suspension from FM90. If a situation which

prevents you from pulling your shift is unavoidable, it is your responsibility to

find someone to cover the time. You will not be penalized for getting

someone to cover the shift, but the Program Director must be aware of all

changes prior to going on the air.

2.  FM90 air personalities are required to be aware of and follow the FM90

Operations Manual, Amarillo College policies, Matney Mass Media policies, and FCC operational rules. Failure to comply with these regulations will result in

Immediate suspension from the air for an indefinite period of time.

Each student is responsible for any change in course status (drops, credit/non-credit, etc.). The Veteran's Office will be notified when students attending class with federal funds miss significant course work adversely affecting their final grade.
