Log in using the AC Connect Portal

In order to receive your AC Connect Email, you must log in through AC Connect at https://acconnect.actx.edu .

If you are an active staff or faculty member according to Human Resources, use "Exchange". All other students, use "AC Connect (Google) Email".

Expected Student Behavior

Students are expected to follow the course schedule closely and have assignments prepared properly and ready to turn in by the due date. For most exercises and assessments, the due date will be on Sunday evening by 11:55 p.m. of the week they are assigned. Ten points will be deducted for each week an assignment/test is late.

Documents saved on “cloud” storage cannot be opened in Blackboard, so it will be very important that you save them on your hard drive or on your flash drive so you can submit them through Blackboard. If there is a "NP" beside the project/assessment number, you will not print that exercise/assessment. You will continue working on that exercise/assessment and will be saving the exercise/assessment and "printing" it in a later project/assessment. The projects/assessments that you "print" are the ones that you will submit for grading.

You have two different books for this course. The textbook--Word 2016, Desktop Publishing, is your textbook that goes through the concepts with you and where you will find the Projects to complete. The other textbook--Word 2016 Desktop Publishing Workbook, is the textbook that you will use to complete the Assessments for the chapters. You will use BOTH textbooks for each chapter.

PLAGIARISM, CHEATING, AND INDIVIDUAL WORK ETHIC: The Amarillo College policies and Code of Student Conduct is strictly adhered to when dealing with plagiarism, cheating and duplication of work product. Any evidence of plagiarism, cheating, or duplication of work products will result in a zero on the project or test in question..
