Attendance

Attendance

Failure to pull (or have covered) an assigned board shift will result in a two week suspension. If a situation which prevents you from pulling your shift is unavoidable, it is your responsibility to find someone to cover it, but you must notify the program director of the change before it occurs. Failure to provide notification of a change will result in a ten point deduction from your final grade.

Attendance and participation will now be graded based on online discussion questions. These will be updated weekly. You will be required to write two responses each week to the discussion question posted in Blackboard. Your responses must answer the discussion question (i.e., your first response) and also react to the discussion posts of your classmates (i.e., your second response). However, you are more than welcome to pose other questions to bring about other discussions in a separate post. In order to receive full marks in the discussion, your post should incorporate the knowledge gleaned from lectures. Posts without in-depth responses (approx. 100 wds.) will not receive a grade—that being the case, you need to write more than “I agree” or “I disagree.”
