Homework (MML & Written):
1. Expect to have homework each day. Late homework will not be accepted. Late is defined to be anything turned in after the due date. You are given several days to complete assignment. For no reason will you be allowed to submit late homework assignments.
2. All online homework must be worked in according to written homework standards. Homework must be done in pencil. Anything that is wrong or needs to be corrected must be clearly erased. Don't write, doodle, or perform mathematical calculations in the margins. Homework must be neat and legible.
3. Do not tear your paper out of a spiral and leave jagged edges. Print the HW assignment off and work on the side of the page.
4. If you have more than one page for a single assignment, you must label the following pages.
5. Homework must be presented in an orderly manner with the problem running a single column down the left half of the page. You may use the right half of the page for graphs, tables and drawings. Any problem (excluding graphs) with work presented in anything except the first column will not receive credit. Each line must contain only one equal sign, "=." All final answers must be boxed or circled to receive credit.
6. You will place your name in the top right corner of each page. On the top line of each page list the appropriate section of the MML assignment (for example Section 1.1). Notice the "Section" is not abbreviated. Each assignment will need to have the heading in the top right corner as demonstrated below:
7. Homework will be checked weekly if not daily.
If you are absent, it is your responsibility to cpmlete the homework assignment by the due date.
Remember, LATE HOMEWORK IS NOT ACCEPTED.

(0.5 pt) Title Page : A blank page at the beginning of your notebook labeled according to heading requirements below, hole punched and located at the first page within the binder. This is the very first thing I should see.

(4 pt) Divider 3 "Reposirtoy": Blank Repository followed by every worked out solution to every identity.
(0.5 pts) Divider 4 "HW MML" : Blue lined loose paper, blank paper or printed assignments with section number as the title and work shown accordingly down the page and numbered. Orlderly work show off to the side of printed assignments is accepable. This will be checked weekly if not daily.

Written Homework Quizzes:
1. Expect to have homework quizzes each day. It must be turned in at the beginning of the class period. Late homework will not be accepted. Late is defined to be anything turned in after the start of class.
2. Homework Quizzes must be done in pencil. Anything that is wrong or needs to be corrected must be clearly erased. Don't write, doodle, or perform mathematical calculations unless necessary for the problem solution. Write the number to the written homework problem directly to the left. Homework must be neat and legible. I will be the judge as to what is neat. Just because you can read it doesn't mean that I can interpret it.
3. You must print and work on the assignment. Any assignment on notebook paper will not be accepted and will be recorded with a grade of zero.
4. Each section will be turned in separately and will count for separate grades. Do NOT staple them all together. If you have more than one page to turn in for a single section, then the pages must be stapled together in the top left corner.
5. Homework must be presented in an orderly manner with the problem running a single column down the left half of the page. Often times in this course, starting the problem in the center of the page will be needed. You may use the right half of the page for graphs, tables and drawings. The back side of the paper MAY be used. All final answers must be boxed or circled to receive credit. Any problem with the answer not circled or boxed in will not be graded. Often times in this course you will be showing a mathematical proof. In this case, do not box anything. The entire problem will be graded step by step.
6. You will place your name in the top right corner of each page. Each assignment will need to have the heading in the top right corner as demonstrated below:

Any assignment without the proper heading will not be accepted and will be recorded with a grade of zero.
In Class Identity Quizzes (IDQ): Quizzes will be assigned and due in class on a regular basis. You must be present to take the quiz. At the end of the semester, I will drop your two lowest quiz grades to allow for unforeseen circumstances. Use these drop grades wisely. Quiz dates and material will ONLY be announced in class.
Major Exams: Four major exams will be given and will be completed throughout the course in the Math Testing Lab. Students must show an Amarillo College ID in order to take the scheduled exam. No late exams will be given, no matter the reason. If you know in advance that you will be gone during the assigned exam dates, you MUST make arrangements with your instructor to take the exam early in the Math Lab. At the end of the semester, your final exam grade will replace your lowest exam grade if it is higher. If you make below 70 on a major exam, a minimum of 1 (one) hour must be spent in the Outreach Center correcting your major exam. Due dates for corrections will be provided throughout the semester. Documentation of your time spent will be accessable by our instructor. You will not be allowed to use your calculator on Exam 2.
Final Exam: The final exam is comprehensive and must be completed by Tuesday March 10th by 10:30 am.
Regular attendance is necessary for clear understanding of the material in this course. If an absence occurs, THE STUDENT is responsible for obtaining the information that was covered in class and any assignments that were given. Please remember the deadline for dropping this class at AC is Tuesday March 3, 2020. If you stop attending class and your average drops below a 60 due to missed assignments and/or poor grades and you do not officially drop the course by this deadline, you will receive an F for the course.
