The Tutoring for Success policy applies to any student whose grade or performance in the course falls below a departmentally determined minimum threshold. In either of those cases, the instructor will direct the student to the appropriate tutoring service, which may be faculty-led, discipline-specific, and/or general. Under this policy, the instructor will follow specific departmental guidelines governing the use, duration, and grade component of the tutoring need.
Students who do not attend class on or prior to the census date will be administratively dropped. Effective Fall, 2016
Students who wish to withdraw from a course must complete all steps indicated on the Academic Withdrawal Request form by the course withdrawal deadline.
NOTE: Students who are attending Texas institutions of higher education, for the first time fall 2007 and later, may not withdraw from more than six courses during their academic career. This withdrawal limitation does not include dual credit or developmental classes (Senate Bill 1231 Rule 4.10.) Grading will be divided into three catagories. Chapter tests will be 25%. Attendence will be 25%. Work in the lab will be 50%.

Regular attendance is necessary for satisfactory achievement. Therefore it is the responsibility of the student to attend class. . A zero will be given for the day if you leave class without permission.

Class schedule is tentative to overall learning per day. The student is responsible for missed work or lab activity. It is up to you how class learning outcomes. No cell phones in lab, points will be deducted from daily average. Students projects must be complete 2 weeks before class is over. Mask and Safety glasses must be worn at all times.Failure to do so will result in being asked to leave for the day. Points will be deducted for being late. All book work must be completed in class before dismisal for the day. If home work is given, assignment must be completed prior to class the next day. If not complete you will have 30 points deducted from the daily grade. Please visit with your instructor if you are having any problems. Students will be asked to attend tutoring if grade average drops below 75.
