The Tutoring for Success policy applies to any student whose grade or performance in the course falls below a departmentally determined minimum threshold. In either of those cases, the instructor will direct the student to the appropriate tutoring service, which may be faculty-led, discipline-specific, and/or general. Under this policy, the instructor will follow specific departmental guidelines governing the use, duration, and grade component of the tutoring need.

Students who wish to withdraw from a course must complete all steps indicated on the Academic Withdrawal Request form by the course withdrawal deadline.

Course Evaluations:
Students should complete all performance tasks on time at REQUIRED MASTERY LEVEL. Tasks, projects, and various assignments will be scored based on time; accuracy; neatness; completeness; procedure; skill; detail; motivation and attitude; safety practices; clean up; care of manuals, logbooks, and references; and other grading criteria. No task shall be rated until assignment is complete and correct. Complete shall include condition and cleanliness of equipment; clean up of work areas; tool condition and return of all supplies and materials to their proper location. Correct means that projects meets all print specifications in order to be graded.

Textbook Reading: Required readings are to be completed prior to class, this will help you be prepared for class discussion. Text questions will be turned in the first class of the following week. The question need not be written out only the answer. All answer are to be neat and legible. I will determine what is neat and legiable.
Textbook Section Questions: Assigned questions are due no later than the beginning of the first class of the next week. This will allow you a weekend to complete your assignment. You need not write out the question, just the answers in a neat and legible manner. I will determine what is neat and legible. NO LATE HOMEWORK WILL BE ACCEPTED.
Math and Geometric Construction Homework: Problems are due no later than the beginning of the first class of the next week. NO LATE HOMEWORK WILL BE ACCEPTED.
Shop Test: One Shop Test per week this test will be over all theory and math this is a comprehensive test. If the student is absent there are no makeup exams.
Projects: A minimum of four projects will be graded. Projects will be graded for accuracy and other items explained on the project rubric. Once a project has been turned in to instructor it will be graded.
Final Exam: A comprehensive final exam will be administered. Failure to take the final exam will result in the student receiving a failing grade for the class.
Tools: Students are required to have tools of their own as specified on syllabus failure to have the required tools

4). No e-mails will be answered or graded if they are in the form of texting. Use proper spelling and punctuation in all your communication. As the instructor I will not decipher texting I will discard it.
