The Tutoring for Success policy applies to any student whose grade or performance in the course falls below a departmentally determined minimum threshold. In either of those cases, the instructor will direct the student to the appropriate tutoring service, which may be faculty-led, discipline-specific, and/or general. Under this policy, the instructor will follow specific departmental guidelines governing the use, duration, and grade component of the tutoring need.

Students who wish to withdraw from a course must complete all steps indicated on the Academic Withdrawal Request form by the course withdrawal deadline.

You will need a computer, hard wired into a router with high speed internet and a camera and microphone so you can be part of the Zoom Class Lectures and meetings. You can go to a Amarillo College campus and use one of the College's computers, if you do not have a computer with a camera and microphone. The Moore County campus in Dumas, TX has computers you may use and the staff at the front desk will be happy to set you up and show you how to connect to the Zoom lectures and meetings.

You are expected to be present at the Zoom lectures and class meetings each time they are scheduled. Attendance will be taken each Zoom Class Lecture and meeting. Failing to attend will hurt your grade. Attending every class and being on time can result in as much as three extra points being added to your final grade.
In order to receive your AC Connect Email, you must log in through AC Connect at https://acconnect.actx.edu .
If you are an active staff or faculty member according to Human Resources, use "Exchange". All other students, use "AC Connect (Google) Email".
You are expected to attend the Zoom Class meetings checking in at least five minutes before class starts with a computer with a camera and microphone. Please do not have other family, friends, children or other persons present with you and be in a quiet environment to attend the Zoom Class.
You must take the tests and final exam when scheduled. NO EXCEPTIONS!!! There are no make up tests given and failing to take a test or the final will result in a ZERO being entered for your grade for that test. There will be five chapters' tests and a comprehensive final exam each which is worth 16.6667% of your grade.
