The Tutoring for Success policy applies to any student whose grade or performance in the course falls below a departmentally determined minimum threshold. In either of those cases, the instructor will direct the student to the appropriate tutoring service, which may be faculty-led, discipline-specific, and/or general. Under this policy, the instructor will follow specific departmental guidelines governing the use, duration, and grade component of the tutoring need.
Students who do not attend class on or prior to the census date will be administratively dropped. Effective Fall, 2016
Students who wish to withdraw from a course must complete all steps indicated on the Academic Withdrawal Request form by the course withdrawal deadline.
NOTE: Students who are attending Texas institutions of higher education, for the first time fall 2007 and later, may not withdraw from more than six courses during their academic career. This withdrawal limitation does not include dual credit or developmental classes (Senate Bill 1231 Rule 4.10.) For the Math and Science Collection projects, you will prepare activities for use in your classroom The activities have to be teacher made -- no store bought activities allowed! I want to challenge you to use as little money as possible in making your activities and become aware of the many items that you already have on hand to use. More details will be given in class.

The online portion of the class will run from Tuesday afternoons through Monday evenings at 11 pm. That means all coursework for that particular module will be due at 11 pm on Monday evenings. I understand that life happens and there are emergencies that come up, however, you have been given adequate time to complete the homework, so please don’t wait until the last minute (Monday night) to start your homework for that module.
Work that is submitted late will not receive full credit.
Assignments and exams are due on the dates stated.
This course is a "Tech-Supported Hybrid" course, meaning we will meet virtually 3 times over the semester!
