The textbook you will need is Governing Texas, 5th edition, by Champagne, Harpham and Casellas. It is available at the Amarillo College Bookstore, and I recommend if you have not already purchased it you buy it immediately because this is an eight-week class, and it is going to go extremely fast.
You will need a computer that is Hard wired into a high speed internet provider through a router!!! This computer must have a camera and a microphone. I must be able to see you and speak with you when we have a Zoom class meeting.
Please take all quizzes and tests on a computer which has high speed internet service and is hard wired into your internet router, NOT WIRELESS CONNECTION.
USE FIREFOX AS YOUR WEB BROWSER AS THIS WORKS BEST WITH BLACKBOARD!!!!!!!
Taking the quiz or test on your cell phone or tablet greatly increases the likelihood you could be kicked off the AC/Blackboard website and you will not be allowed to reopen the quiz or test.
If you do not have a computer which is hard wired and has high speed internet service, you can take the quiz or test on one of the computers at the Moore County campus building OR any Amarillo College campus location at their computer lab. The staff at the front desk will be happy to help you with this.
Please see the class schedule below.
In order to receive your AC Connect Email, you must log in through AC Connect at https://acconnect.actx.edu .
If you are an active staff or faculty member according to Human Resources, use "Exchange". All other students, use "AC Connect (Google) Email".
Please act like an adult when we have a Zoom Class Meeting. Do your work on time according to the class schedule.
