The Tutoring for Success policy applies to any student whose grade or performance in the course falls below a departmentally determined minimum threshold. In either of those cases, the instructor will direct the student to the appropriate tutoring service, which may be faculty-led, discipline-specific, and/or general. Under this policy, the instructor will follow specific departmental guidelines governing the use, duration, and grade component of the tutoring need.
Students who do not attend class on or prior to the census date will be administratively dropped. Effective Fall, 2016
Students who wish to withdraw from a course must complete all steps indicated on the Academic Withdrawal Request form by the course withdrawal deadline.
NOTE: Students who are attending Texas institutions of higher education, for the first time fall 2007 and later, may not withdraw from more than six courses during their academic career. This withdrawal limitation does not include dual credit or developmental classes (Senate Bill 1231 Rule 4.10.) Students enrolled in this class will be expected to speak with the instructor by telephone to discuss portions of the Wardrobe Analysis Project Assignments in order to resolve any questions or problems with the assignments through two-way communication. Students who are unable to speak on the telephone will need to contact Disability Services about an accommodation.
GRADING SCALE:
90-100% = A (Excellent)
80-89% = B (Above Average, Very Good)
70-79% = C (Average, Good)
60-69% = D (Poor, but passing)
Below 60% = F (Failing)
Final Exam in this course will be comprehensive.
Your final grade will be determined by your successful completion of all assigned work.

35% - Wardrobe Analysis Project – Feedback Assignments
10% - Wardrobe Analysis Project – Final Summary
15% - “Color Wheel and Color Key” and Seven Looks Tests
10% - FINAL EXAM

You will be working on a semester-long Wardrobe Analysis Project which will count for 45% of your final grade.
ASSIGNMENTS:
If the Safeassign report shows more than 30% is copied (ie, plagerism, non-MLA cited, misquoted) the student will receive a 0 but will have a chance to justify the report for a docked grade. If no justification is made, the 0 will remain in effect.

SAFEASSIGN:
Plagerism is defined as: the practice of taking someone else's work or ideas and passing them off as one's own. In Blackboard, SafeAssign is included in all assignments, reports and projects and checks all documents for plagerism. You will have access to the SafeAssign report that the instructor will receive when handing in assignments. If the SafeAssign report shows more than 35% is copied (ie, plagerism, non-MLA cited, misquoted) the student will receive a 0 but will have a chance to justify the report for a docked grade. If no justification is made, the 0 will remain in effect. If a Safeassign report is over 35% and can not be opened, an automatic 0 will be given.
Be aware that the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (as amended) does not permit instructors to disclose information regarding grades over the phone, via email, or to a third party. Therefore, if you need to discuss your grades, you must do so in person.

In order to be successful in this class, students are expected to log in and participate at least three times a week. Students are expected to participate in the weekly discussion boards. Instructors can see when the last date of log in occurs.
