Tutoring for Success applies to any student whose overall performance in the course falls below 75%. The instructor will create the task in the Student Engagement Portal (Watermark) to direct the student to the appropriate tutoring service, which may be faculty- or SI-led, discipline-specific, and/or general. The tutoring service assigned, the due date for when the tutoring must be completed, and the amount of tutoring required are at the discretion of the instructor. Additionally, the task will alert the student’s success team. Students who do not fulfill the assigned tutoring task may be subject to program- and course-specific penalties that could result in a grade reduction and/or in not being allowed to progress in the course until the tutoring requirement has been satisfied.
Students who do not attend class on or prior to the census date will be administratively dropped. Effective Fall, 2016
Students who wish to withdraw from a course must complete all steps indicated on the Academic Withdrawal Request form by the course withdrawal deadline.
NOTE: Students who are attending Texas institutions of higher education, for the first time fall 2007 and later, may not withdraw from more than six courses during their academic career. This withdrawal limitation does not include dual credit or developmental classes (Senate Bill 1231 Rule 4.10.) An intermediate course covering working detail drawings with proper dimensioning and tolerances. Also included are the use of sectioning techniques, common fasteners, isometrics and obliques in the preparation of assembly drawings, including bill of materials.

You can work on lab assignments at home. Inventor can be downloaded from the Autodesk website. Your home computer must meet the minimum requirements. Be sure to download the same version used in the college lab!

Upon successful completion students should be able to:
1. Demonstrate competency with multiple drawing and modification commands in Inventor
2. Create three-dimensional solid models.
3. Create three-dimensional assemblies incorporating multiple solid models.
4. Apply industry standards in the development of technical mechanical drawings.

Students are expected to maintain a high standard of individual honor in their scholastic work. Students who are guilty of cheating, plagiarism, copying, or dishonesty may receive a 0 on an assignment; may be excluded from class with a grade of F; or, in flagrant cases, may be suspended from the College.
It is the responsibility of the student to initiate drop or withdrawal procedures. See your instructor first if you wish to initiate these procedures. Students who stop attending class but do not officially drop or withdraw from this course will receive a letter grade at the end of the semester.

Students will be given assignments that include both written and drawing tasks, projects, exams, and a final course project. Students will also be graded on attendance.
Written assignments are to be typed and printed using Microsoft Word.
Drawing Assignments are to be drawn using Autodesk Inventor.
Assignments are due one week from the date assigned. Late assignments will be lowered ten points. No assignments will be accepted after two weeks from date assigned.
Grading Scale
Written Assignments 5% of course grade.
Drawing Assignments 15% of course grade.
Projects 20% of course grade
Exams 30% of course grade.

Announcements, Presentations, Assignment Instructions, Grades and Resources for the Course, will all be on Blackboard. Let your instructor know if you need help with using Blackboard.
This is an on-campus course. All Students are expected to physically attend. All students are expected to attend every lecture given by the instructor.
Students that are not present for each lecture will be marked as absent. For each absence, 1 point will be deducted from the student's final course grade.
If class is canceled for any reason, all students will be marked as present.
Please notify me if you are expected to be absent two days or more.
Lab time can be used at the college or at home. You must have access to Microsoft Word and Inventor to be able to work on assignments from home. All Exams are taken on campus. No makeup exams are provided.
