November is National Career Development Month!

Check out all the great resources AC has to offer, as part of our commitment to your personal and professional growth. Learn new skills and challenge yourself as you walk down the path of career development.

ThinkZoom

ThinkZoom is AC's official employee training hub. Not just a place to complete required training, your ThinkZoom portal is the key to a world of learning possibilities. We offer everything from Leadership, DiSC Styles, and software modules including Excel and Google Suite, to Mental Health, Deskercise (desk exercise), and Sleep Management. To learn more, visit our ThinkZoom page. To try some new learning modules, sign into your ThinkZoom portal.

AC Talks

AC Talks is a topical professional development webinar series covering topics such as Financial Literacy, Clifton Strengths, Leadership Development, and more. If you'd like to check out two particularly excellent AC Talks on our culture, visit the AC Culture page to watch Exploring the Culture of Caring with Russell Lowery-Hart and Addressing Student Poverty at Amarillo College with Cara Crowley.

External Professional Development

If you're looking to grow professionally, we offer a large number of online external resources through our Professional Development page. You can utilize any of these as an AC Employee (some may require a fee):

Team Development

We offer Instructor-Led Learning Solutions covering DiSC Basic and Advanced, Poverty Deep-Dive, and Emotional Intelligence. These sessions will help improve communication, performance, and help align your team with AC's vision and values. We will work with your team to help you set and meet goals and offer both live and virtual sessions. If you need something a little more specifically tailored to your team, we offer customized learning solutions as well. For more information, visit our Team Development page.

Employee Scholarship

One of the best benefits you receive as an AC Family Member is the ability to take classes tuition-free. Part-time employees can take up to 6 semester hours of academic or continuing ed classes for each semester they work (some course exclusions may apply) and full-time employees have unlimited access to any class AC offers. If you would like to participate in the Employee Scholarship program, please fill out the Employee Scholarship form and submit it to Human Resources.

Continuing Education

Our Continuing Education department is one of the best places to visit when you're thinking of career development and certification obtainment to advance your career. In the Career Development section, they offer Banking and Finance, Computer Business Applications, Media Communications, and at certain times of the year Project Management prep courses and Human Resources Management. You can also find a number of certification courses through any of the tabs on the Continuing Education home page.
