Winning AC Bake Off Pie Recipe!
February is National American Pie Month, so in honor of that, we held our first AC Family pie competition. Congratulations to our winning AC Family member, Officer Dustin Owens, who baked an amazing Kentucky Derby pie. If you'd like to try out this recipe for yourself, we have shared it below:
Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup of flour
- 1 cup of Sugar
- 1 tsp Vanilla
- 1 cup small Pecans
- 1 pie shell
- 1 stick of butter
Steps
- Preheat oven to 325
- Combine the sugar and flour and make a well in the center
- Add the eggs, butter, and vanilla and mix until thoroughly combined
- Add the pecans and chocolate chips and mix until evenly distributed
- Pour the filling into the pie shell and bake for 60 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean in the middle
- Top with Cool Whip or whipped cream
