American Family Month
During American Family Month, we celebrate the American family in all its shapes and forms. No two families are the same. Some are families we were born into and some are the families we've built along our path in life. Whatever your family looks like, this holiday is not about giving gifts, but about spending time with the people who matter the most. Here are some suggestions to help you celebrate your family this month, whether near or far.

Online Events & Activities
Online Game Night: It's easy to set up an online game night with family who may not live close to Amarillo. We do this regularly with my older brother and his kiddos who live in Minnesota. We set up a video call so everyone can chat (which is honestly a great activity in itself) then load the game of our choice (we typically use Jackbox games so everyone can play along on their own devices), and share the screen. Everyone makes their favorite snacks and we all have a great time playing games together.
Virtual Movie Night/Watch Party: If you have one of the following streaming services, you can set up a watch party so you and your family afar can still do movie nights together
- Hulu
- Disney +
- Amazon Prime
- Apple TV
- Plex
- Sling
