Continuing Education

The Amarillo College Criminal Justice Programs conduct mandated Continuing Education or In-Service Training and Seminars for law enforcement, corrections, and other criminal justice fields using local, national, and internationally recognized speakers.

Amarillo College is a licensed training provider through the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE). Our training calendar, which is constantly updated as new courses are scheduled, can be found below.

Training Sponsorship Criteria

Where indicated with "PRPC Sponsored," the tuition and fees are paid for by the Panhandle Regional Planning Commission for TCOLE-certified law enforcement officers, corrections officers, or telecommunicators employed by municipal and county law enforcement agencies within the top 26 counties of the Texas Panhandle, as well as certified law enforcement officers employed by primary and secondary schools located in the top 26 counties of the Texas Panhandle that levy a property tax to support their operations, as follows:

  • For courses less than 20 hours, there will be no charge.
  • For courses of 20 hours, there will be a $10 charge.
  • For courses of more than 20 hours, there will be a $20 charge.

These costs are billed by and payable to PRPC.

You simply need to register for the class, submit no payment, and we will handle the rest.
