Professional Learning Outcomes (PLO):

In this PLCohort, participants will be able to

  • Identify what a learner centered curriculum includes.
  • Discuss the obstacles faculty encounter when teaching adult learners.
  • Explain why active learners perform better in an academic setting than passive learners.
  • Implement strategies to facilitate students to change from passive learners to active learners.

Professional Learning Points:

125 points

At the conclusion of this PLCohort, participants will implement at least one of the research-based strategies within the Spring 2 courses. Participants will share a short presentation with their peers describing what was learned and applied during cohort participation. They will then complete the Google Form for a final reflection and future action plan.
