Balancing life and school can be stressful. If you find yourself feeling overwhelmed, burned out, or just stuck in life, we invite you to join our Feel Better Fast workshop series. It takes place every Tuesday from 4-5pm and students are welcome to join at any time! Each week we will cover a different topic related to mental health and give practical ways you can take better care of what matters most - YOU!

New Student Orientation
1:00 PM to to 4:00 PM
New Student Orientation (NSO) includes important information on key resources and strategies for success, plus a campus tour. New students are encouraged to attend an orientation that best matches the campus you will be attending their first year. Your Advisor can provide more information on these specific sessions. Registration for NSO is the same as registering for your regular courses. First, sign in to AC Connect. If you have never used AC Connect before, click on First Time Users at the bottom of the page. 1. Under Self Service, click on Current Student, Registration, and then Register for Sections. 2. A new "Student Planning" window will open. In the "Search for courses..." box, type in "NSO" and click search. 3. NSO General Sessions will be listed under NSO-0002. Please be mindful of the location listed for the orientation. 4. Select the section you would like to attend, click on Add Section to Schedule, and register.

Tune in to facebook.com/amarillocollege/videos at 6:30 PM on Thursday for an opportunity to find out in real time about the eligibility requirements and benefits of Thrive–which allows qualified graduates of Amarillo ISD high schools to attend Amarillo College tuition-free.

Bob Austin, VP of enrollment management for Amarillo College, and Tracey Morman, director of counseling/college and career readiness for Amarillo ISD, will discuss how the program works and then take questions from online viewers.
