AC Foundation presents its Chairman’s Award to Caviness Beef Packers
Caviness Beef Packers Ltd, a steadfast supporter of Amarillo College – with gifts to the College now totaling in excess of half-million dollars – has been named the recipient of the 2022 AC Foundation Chairman’s Award.

The award was announced during the AC Foundation’s 58th Annual Meeting held on Sept. 13 at the Amarillo Club.
The Chairman’s Award is given annually to an individual, family, or organization in our community who has exemplified the mission of the Amarillo College Foundation through giving and service.
Eddie Bradley, one of AC’s longtime supporters and a friend to Caviness Beef Packers, presented the award to members of the family-owned business who attended the annual meeting – Terry Caviness and his sons, Trevor and Regan.
Trevor Caviness is a past Foundation Board Chairman and presently serves on the Board’s Badger Bold comprehensive campaign committee; Regan Caviness is currently serving his first term on the AC Foundation Board.
The Caviness’s history of giving to Amarillo College is lengthy and impactful, particularly with regard to AC’s Hinkson Memorial Campus in Hereford.
The Caviness Beef Packers Scholarship was established in 2013 with a $25,000 endowment and supports students at the Hinkson Campus and/or children of Caviness employees.
The Caviness Beef Packers Employee Dependents Scholarship, established in 2021 with a gift of $500,000, supports Caviness employee dependents looking to start or continue their pursuit of higher education.
In 2012, prior to setting up either of the scholarships, Caviness Beef Packers contributed $50,000 to the Hinkson Campus Capital Campaign. To date, the combined corporate and family giving exceeds $600,000.
