AC to Host Employability Forum Connecting Students and Employers

Amarillo College will host its annual Employability Forum from 8-11:30 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 7 at AC's Innovation Outpost, 1200 S. Polk St.

Hosted by AC’s Hispanic-Serving Institution (HSI) Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) Grant in partnership with Career Services, the Employability Forum brings together students and local employers for a morning of mock interviews, networking, and professional engagement. The event is designed to help students strengthen their career readiness skills while giving business professionals an opportunity to support and connect with the region’s emerging workforce.

“This event allows employers to have a direct, positive impact on students’ confidence and preparedness as they move toward their future careers,” said Jennifer Johnson, AC HSI STEM career navigator. “It’s a powerful example of how education and industry can work hand in hand to build a stronger community.”

Participants will include students majoring in science, technology, engineering, math, and business fields.
