AC’s VP and General Counsel Tapped to Lead State Attorney Group

Amarillo College’s Mark White, who serves as the executive vice president and general counsel, was elected to serve as the president of the Texas Association of Community College Attorneys (TACCA). TACCA is an organization for community college attorneys, both in-house and those serving their clients from law firms.
“It’s a privilege to work with my peers in this group,” White said. “AC will be well served for us to be connected to this group with the increasing complexity of community college management.”
Serving in his role with AC since 2016, White’s experience includes local and state service. He has served as the president of the Amarillo Area Bar Association; the chair of the Texas Commission for Lawyer Discipline, a member of the Board of Directors for the State Bar of Texas; chair of the State Bar of Texas Committee on Continuing Legal Education; and is a frequent presenter at State Bar seminars.
White started his education at Amarillo College; he completed an associate degree at the College and obtained baccalaureate and law degrees from Texas Tech University.
White’s paralegal, Lisa Gray, was elected to serve as the group’s secretary. Both will serve a two-year term.
“I am honored to work with Mark as he grows this organization,” Gray said.
