Amarillo College captures five national digital marketing awards - 3 Gold
Amarillo College is pleased to announce that its Communications and Marketing Department emerged from the 10th Annual Education Digital Marketing Awards with five national collegiate marketing awards – three at the topmost Gold level.
The Education Digital Marketing (EDM) Awards are endorsed by Higher Education Marketing Report and recognize the best digital content, electronic communications, mobile media, social media and educational websites.
Submissions were reviewed and judged by a national panel of higher education marketers, advertising creative directors, marketing and advertising professionals, and the EDM editorial board.
The College received prestigious Gold recognition in these categories: Total Digital Marketing Program; Social Media Content Campaign; and Athletic Promotion, which is a particularly gratifying acknowledgment in that AC only revived its Intercollegiate Athletics Program in 2021 after a decades-long hiatus.
Additionally, AC received a Silver award for Blogs – AC News, and the College won a Bronze award for Digital Publication – Teaching for Transformation 2022.
“To be informed and assured that the digital marketing efforts of our talented and creative team are among those setting the bar nationally is not only gratifying for our department, but it’s extremely advantageous for our College, too,” said Kevin Ball, AC’s vice president of communications and marketing.
“I am especially pleased,” he added, “by our success marketing the Athletics Program. The newness of the program, not to mention its inherent visibility throughout the community, put us in uncharted waters. Yet this recognition clearly demonstrates that we are on track to make Badger Athletics a model of national esteem.”
AC emerged from a pool of distinguished colleges, universities and secondary schools from across the country that combined to submit more than 1,000 entries. In the preeminent Total Digital Marketing Program category alone, AC was joined in the Gold winners circle by such luminaries as Oakland City University, University of Missouri St. Louis, and Michigan State University.
