Amarillo College to Host First-Ever STEM and Business Career and Transfer Fair

Amarillo College will host its first-ever STEM and Business Career and Transfer Fair from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 25 in the Event Center at the new Student Life and Conference Center, on the Washington Street Campus.

Designed as a combined career expo and transfer fair, the event has already attracted 15 university representatives from STEM and business programs and 15 employers from related industries, with additional participants registering daily. Several employers will be recruiting for internships and job opportunities, giving students a direct pathway from the classroom to careers.

The fair is intended to serve as a networking hub for Amarillo College’s STEM and Business communities, connecting students with employers, universities, faculty, and mentors in their fields. Organizers hope the event will become a signature annual gathering for top talent, professional development, and long-term career planning.

“This fair is about helping students plan their path to the finish line,” Chris Prock, AC coordinator of Career and Employment Services, said. “By bringing employers and universities together in one space, we’re creating real opportunities for students to explore careers, transfer options, and next steps—all in one morning.”

Students attending the fair will receive free food provided by the Student Government Association. Employers and university representatives will be hosted with breakfast, coffee service, and lunch as a thank-you for supporting Amarillo College students.

The STEM and Business Career and Transfer Fair is open to Amarillo College students interested in exploring careers, internships, job opportunities, and transfer pathways in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and business fields.

Employer and student event registration is available through Handshake.
