Art Force Piano Series continues as AC musicians present ‘Jam with Love’

The accomplished and steadfast Amarillo College music faculty will be collectively channeling the spirit of Valentine’s Day when the 2023-2024 Art Force Piano Series resumes at Amarillo College.

The third installment of the Piano Series is titled “Jam with Love,” and it will be presented at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 13 by a cavalcade of AC faculty and other special musical guests from the College’s family of musicians.

This diverse concert will feature a variety of instruments, from piano to harp and violin to voice, and it is free and open to the public. It will be staged in the Concert Hall Theater on the Washington Street Campus.

“This is a chance for everyone who is feeling cooped up this winter to get out and listen to some spirited and hopeful music, songs that nurture the Valentine spirit,” Dr. Bruce Lin, artistic director for the concert series and director of piano at AC, said. “The musicians on our program are exceptional, and everyone is sure to enjoy the enchanting selections they plan to perform.”

Music composed by the likes of Gershwin, Rachmaninoff, Lionel Richie, Cy Coleman and John Denver are among the feel-good selections on the program.
