GROUNDBREAKING CEREMONY - SCIENCE LABORATORY

On Wednesday, August 20, 2008, Amarillo College conducted a groundbreaking ceremony for construction of the new Multidisciplinary Science Laboratory Building. The College celebrated the beginning of the new $8.5 million science lab project. Construction is planned to begin in October, 2008, on the three-story lab that will house Biology, Chemistry and Physics classes. The building should be complete by 2010.

 
 
Dr. Paul Matney, acting on behalf of President Steven Jones, served as Master of Ceremony for those present which included Mayor Debra McCartt, AC Board of Regents Chair,  Michele Fortunato and other board members, and an assembly of faculty and staff.
