Rashmi Pillai has been an integral member of Amarillo College since 2007, bringing a deep passion for education and technology. She began her journey as the CIS Lab Administrator while teaching part-time, demonstrating her commitment to student success. In 2016, Rashmi transitioned into a full-time faculty role within the CIS department and later assumed the position of Program Coordinator for the Business Technology program. Rashmi holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics with a minor in Statistics and a Master’s degree in Business Administration, and an Associate’s degree in Software Systems and Networking. Originally from India, she has proudly called Amarillo home since 1999. She loves working with students both in and outside the classroom, serving as a mentor and guide as they prepare for their careers. Rashmi is also the sponsor of a business club, Future Billionaires Club at the college, where she helps students develop leadership skills and engage in professional growth opportunities.
With a passion for data and databases, Rashmi enjoys working on projects that involve creating database solutions for departments and businesses, helping them streamline their operations and improve efficiency. Dedicated to equipping students with essential business and technology skills, she strives to prepare them for success in today’s evolving professional landscape.
