Heal the City Partnership

What Is it?

Our partnership with Heal the City of Amarillo allows students without health insurance to receive free psychiatric and primary medical care. If medication is prescribed to the student, the prescription will be filled by the pharmacy associated with Heal the City at no cost to the student. Since its first iteration in 2013, Heal the City has helped transform healthcare and provide hope to the Amarillo community through their compassion and quality services.

How Are Students Referred?

All referrals to Heal the City for students are managed by the Counseling Center. Students may make an appointment with the Counseling Center here or by calling (806) 371-5900 to determine eligibility. If a student is eligible for referral, Heal the City will contact the student to schedule an appointment.
