GED and College Readiness Classes

Are you looking to obtain your GED? Career Ready You ensures that students looking to complete their GED are served holistically and presented with any resources available that will help them not only complete their GED, but advance them to their next great achievement - whether that be a degree, certificate, or a higher paying job!

Students working toward a high school equivalency credential known as a GED can simultaneously enroll in Amarillo College courses through Career Ready You and earn a GED and college credits at the same time. And the first two college classes are FREE.

Not only that, they are all stackable, which means that each course you take stacks on the previous ones until you accumulate enough credits to earn certificates or degrees in four career pathways: Business, Health Services, Industry or Education.

After you complete the first two classes FREE, you can apply for federal financial aid that can apply to the classes that follow.

AC's new Career Pathways program is designed to increase the earning potential for adult students. Use the link below to learn more.
