FAQ's

You can enroll in the Career Ready You GED program at the age of 17 years old WITH parent or guardian permission. However, you can also enroll at the age of 16 years old with a court order.

Every student is different and so, the time frame differs. This is better determined after the CASAS pre-assessment is completed. However, the pre-assessment allows career navigators to direct you through the path of completion. This may mean you will enroll in semester long GED courses or utilize Amarillo Colleges tutoring services. It is also possible that neither of these services are necessary for you to complete your GED.

If you have not had any contact with CRU for 3 months or more, you will need to re-enroll in the program. This means you must update your CRU application and complete a CASAS pre-assessment. Once this is completed, you can then be registered for ESL or GED courses.

Our program is almost completely free, the only costs are the GED Final Tests. Each test costs $36 a piece, or you can buy all 4 for $150. We do, however, offer financial assistance if needed.

No. Due to limited seating, an appointment is required.
