Digital Pedagogy

 

 

Description:

There is a worldwide paradigm shift in the teaching and learning process. Now more than ever educators are working to evolve their teaching practices to meet the needs of the 21st-century learner. In this cohort, participants will learn how to incorporate pedagogical practices into their classrooms (face-to-face, hybrid, and online) and use various learning technologies to enhance the educational experience.   

Professional Learning Outcomes (PLO):

In this PLCohort, participants will be able to

  • Explain why learning technologies are important in the changing social and educational scenarios.
  • Apply the learning and instructional theories in the implementation of digital pedagogy.
  • Understand the role of technologies in teaching and learning.
  • Analyze the taxonomy of digital tools and learning resources in digital pedagogy.
  • Modify the current instructional design to incorporate digital tools and learning resources
  • Design learning activities (lesson/lecture/delivery plan) using digital pedagogy.

Deliverable:

At the conclusion of this PLCohort, participants will have discovered digital pedagogy and its role in the 21st-century classroom. They will pick at least one idea or concept of the cohort and incorporate it into a lesson in the upcoming session. Participants will share a short presentation with peers showcasing how they used this strategy in their lesson. They will then complete a final reflection and future action plan.

How to Register for CTL Classes

  1. Go to https://acconnect.actx.edu/
  2. Under the Self-Service section, click WebAdvisor.
  3. Click WebAdvisor for Employees.
  4. In the upper right corner of the screen, click Log In.
  5. Log in with your ACNet ID and Password.
  6. Under Professional Development, click Register for Center for Teaching and Learning Classes.
  7. Click SUBMIT to access a list of courses being offered by CTL.
  8. Click the SELECT box to the left of the workshop for which you wish to register.
  9. Click SUBMIT again at the bottom of the page to finalize your selection(s).
