Blackboard Learn 101 Course

Description: Blackboard 101 is a step-by-step hands-on tutorial to help AC students navigate the Blackboard system. In this course, students will learn to send email, download and upload documents, participate in a discussion board post, and take a Blackboard test. Some faculty have taken it in the past as well, and have said that it really helped them to understand the perspective of their students in navigating Blackboard.

There is also a section on the following tools available in Blackboard:

• Library Tab
• Student Tools Tab
• AC Student Resources
• Readspeaker/Text Aid Tool
• My Survey Tool
• My Grades

How to Register for Blackboard 101 Course

1. Go to https://actx.blackboard.com/
2. Sign-in using your ACNet ID and password.
3. Click on the Courses tab.
4. In the upper right corner of the screen, click on the Course Catalog.
5. Under Browse Categories, select the drop down.
6. Select the course that you want to enroll in and select Go.
7. You will see the course populate, hover near the end of the Course ID and click on the gray drop down arrow and select Enroll.
8. On the self-enrollment screen, press Submit, and then you should see that you have been successfully added to the Course.
9. Press OK, and the course will open.
10. Note: After you have enrolled in the course, you will be able to locate the course in your Courses tab.
