Description:

Participants will learn how to intentionally design learning experiences for students based on how to engage students, goals and assessments, using data to inform your most critical needs and student retention, culturally relevant pedagogy and using technology in the classroom.

Professional Learning Outcomes (PLO):

In this PLCohort participants will be able to 

• Apply backward design to one course objective.
• Analyze data to inform, and reconstruct instruction.
• Evaluate a current course for opportunities to provide accessibility to all types of students.
• Apply flipped learning to one assignment.
• Identify various SET's and technology tools and apply one to their course.

Deliverable:

At the conclusion of this PLCohort participants will individually create a learning experience with a reflection and complete a 5-8 minute presentation along with a future action plan.

How to Register for CTL Classes

1. Go to https://acconnect.actx.edu/
2. Under the Self-Service section, click WebAdvisor.
3. Click WebAdvisor for Employees.
4. In the upper right corner of the screen, click Log In.
5. Log in with your ACNet ID and Password.
6. Under Professional Development, click Register for Center for Teaching and Learning Classes.
7. Click SUBMIT to access a list of courses being offered by CTL.
8. Click the SELECT box to the left of the workshop for which you wish to register.
9. Click SUBMIT again at the bottom of the page to finalize your selection(s).
