Description:

Participants will work to apply backward design, Blooms and UDL to build a strong foundation for their course.  Participants will evaluate engaging formative and summative assessments to increase retention of learning. Participants evaluate their outcomes using Bb analytics and Dana center analytics form.

Professional Learning Outcomes (PLO):

In this PLCohort participants will be able to 

• Evaluate and reconstruct current learning objectives.
• Incorporate Bloom's taxonomy and reconstruct objectives where needed.
• Compare formative and summative assessments and implement them in their current class.
• Evaluate, reflect and modify a current multiple-choice exam.
• Analyze and reflect on data from Blackboard.

Deliverable:

At the conclusion of this PLCohort participants will individually create a learning experience with a reflection and complete a 5-8 minute presentation along with a future action plan.

How to Register for CTL Classes

1. Go to https://acconnect.actx.edu/
2. Under the Self-Service section, click WebAdvisor.
3. Click WebAdvisor for Employees.
4. In the upper right corner of the screen, click Log In.
5. Log in with your ACNet ID and Password.
6. Under Professional Development, click Register for Center for Teaching and Learning Classes.
7. Click SUBMIT to access a list of courses being offered by CTL.
8. Click the SELECT box to the left of the workshop for which you wish to register.
9. Click SUBMIT again at the bottom of the page to finalize your selection(s).
