GET YOUR STUDENT ID - Come by the AskAC counter to get your photo ID.

 

SEND OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT - Contact your high school counselor and/or the Registrar’s Office at each college you have attended previously to request that an official transcript be sent to Amarillo College.

 

APPLY FOR FINANCIAL AID - Scholarships, grants, and loans are available, but you have to apply early – before March 1 is best. Applications are free at: www.actx.edu/foundation and fafsa.ed.gov. More financial aid details: www.actx.edu/fin.

 

SEND PROOF OF BACTERIAL MENINGITIS VACCINATION - New students under the age of 22 are required to show proof of bacterial meningitis vaccinations or complete an exemption form prior to registration. To access the forms, please visit: www.actx.edu/admission/bacterial-meningitis.

LOG ON TO AC CONNECT - As soon as you receive your acceptance letter, you will have a special email account. You MUST log on to view important information on a regular basis. Follow the directions at http://myaccount.actx.edu orhttp://acconnect.actx.edu to get your user information. Call AskAC at (806) 371-5000 if you need help.

COMPLETE PLACEMENT TESTING - You may be exempt from taking the TSI Assessment. Please see an academic advisor or www.actx.edu/testing to check your exemption status.

GET YOUR BOOKS
Bookstores are in the CUB on Washington St., Building D on
West Campus or online. If you have financial aid you can charge
to your account. Be sure not to unwrap anything and save your
receipts until you’ve been to class and are sure you have the
right books and supplies.
