OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT 

Contact your high school counselor and/or the Registrar’s Office at each college you have attended previously to request an official transcript be sent to Amarillo College, Registrar’s Office, P. O. Box 447, Amarillo, TX 79178.


PROOF OF BACTERIAL MENINGITIS VACCINATION

New students under the age of 22 are required to show proof of bacterial meningitis vaccinations or complete an exemption form prior to registration. To access the forms, please visit: www.actx.edu/admission/meningitis.


PLACEMENT TESTING

You may be exempt from taking the TSI Assessment. Please speak with an academic advisor or go online at www.actx.edu/testing to check your exemption status. If you are not exempt, you will need to complete the following:

  1. Pre-Assessment MAP Orientation: New students are required to attend a MAP session in person prior to placement testing. Location: Success Center, Ware Student Commons, 3rd Floor, Washington Street Campus.
     
  2. Placement Test: For more information and to schedule a testing time, call (806) 371-5445 or visit www.actx.edu/testing. Testing times will also be scheduled after completion of a MAP session.

Enroll in Classes

Meet with your advisor to to get registered.

Your Academic Advisor is assigned according to your chosen field of study and will help you chart your educational and career path. You can even pre-plan your course timeline (all the way through graduation) with your advisor. Once you've been pre-planned, you are no longer required to meet with your advisor each semester and you can register online!

NEW STUDENT ORIENTATION

All students are required to participate in a new student orientation session. Visit www.actx.edu/nso for options.

PAY FOR CLASSES

Be sure to pay or make payment arrangements via payment plan or financial aid by the deadline.

  • Pay online at https://acconnect.actx.edu click the financial tab.
  • Pay by phone (806) 371-5000.
  • Pay in person at the AskAC counter at the Washington Street or the West Campus.

GET YOUR BOOKS

AC Bookstores are located on the Washington Street Campus (College Union Building), on the West Campus (Building D) and online at
www.actx.edu/bookstore. If you have financial aid you can charge to your account. You will need a copy of your schedule to get your books.
