Students who will be new to Amarillo College this fall, and their families, will be the guests of honor for Family Night, an informative and festive welcome-to-AC, open-house affair from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday, July 28 on the Washington Street Campus.
Family Night is an opportunity for first-time students to become better acquainted with the buildings, offices, services, resources and people of AC before fall classes commence on Aug. 22.
New AC students and their families will gather at the Clock Tower in the center of the campus, where a local band, Velvet Funk, will provide musical entertainment, youth will be served by an inflatable bounce house, and personal tours of College facilities will commence.
Students will be able to visit with AC experts on financial aid, obtain their student IDs, speak with academic advisors, learn about a plethora of scholarship opportunities, and even visit the classrooms denoted on their first-semester schedules so they will know where they are going from Day 1.
For more information about Family Night on July 28, please call AC’s Department of Student Life at 808-371-5259.
