Stein’s lecture will begin at 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 23 in the Russell Hall Lecture Hall, Room 131, on the Washington Street Campus.

The lecture is free and open to the public.

Stein, a licensed marriage and family counselor, began her study of art in 2013 under Amarillo artist Cale Rogers. She has since studied painting and drawing through the Amarillo Art Institute under such luminaries as Michael Longhofer, Vance McSwain, and at Amarillo College under Steven Cost, AC associate professor of art.

She took her first alcohol ink class in 2014 with Mary Barton of Wimberley, Texas. She has since taught such a class herself at the Amarillo Art Institute.

In addition to the free public event, Stein has also agreed to share her expertise with AC art students; she will speak to students in art classes on Wednesday and Thursday, Feb. 22-23 at Russell Hall.

For more information about the upcoming lecture and workshop, please call Steven Cost in the AC Art Department at (806) 372-5210.
