Before approval of any research project, investigators must complete training on the Protection of Human Research Participants.  Approved training is available at either of these sites:

• The National Institute of Health (NIH) Office of Extramural research @ https://phrp.nihtraining.com
• The Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI Program) @ https://about.citiprogram.org/en/homepage/

Research projects are submitted to the Amarillo College Institutional Review Board (IRB) committee chair for approval.  Required documents include:

• Completed AC IRB Exempt/Expedited Approval Form or IRB Reliance Form
• Informed consent form
• Measures/questionnaires used in the project
