Panhandle PBS Prepares to Heat Up with “Savor the Goods” Featuring Steven Raichlen
Panhandle PBS is thrilled to announce the return of Amarillo’s premier dinner series, Savor the Goods, featuring world-renowned barbecue authority, author, and television host Steven Raichlen. This year's highly anticipated community event, themed "Fire & Flavor," will take place at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 1 at Arts in the Sunset, located at 3701 Plains Blvd. in Amarillo.
Savor the Goods delivers a unique, one-of-a-kind evening that seamlessly blends a vibrant cocktail party with an extraordinary multi-media educational component curated by Panhandle PBS. Attendees will enjoy a masterfully crafted meal prepared by exceptional local chefs, inspired by the bold flavors of open-fire cooking.
A multi-award-winning author and culinary trailblazer, Steven Raichlen is widely credited with reinventing modern barbecue. As the creator and host of the popular public television series Project Fire, Project Smoke, and Primal Grill, Raichlen has taught millions of viewers the art of live-fire cooking. He is the author of more than 30 books—including the best-selling The Barbecue Bible and How to Grill—which have won multiple James Beard Awards and international acclaim. His expertise brings an unparalleled level of culinary prestige to this year's event.
