Pinning ceremonies an emotional capstone for AC’s hard-working nursing students
It is no wonder that the traditional capstone event — a formal Pinning Ceremony — is a momentous and emotion-charged occasion for nursing students (and their families) on the cusp of graduation.
AC is pleased to announce that it will conduct two such ceremonies this month. One will be for 20 graduates of the Vocational Nursing Program, the other for 98 students who will be registered nurses after have completed requirements in the Associate Degree Nursing Program.
The schedule is as follows:
Licensed Vocational Nursing Program Pinning (LVN)
Tuesday, Dec. 13 at 1 p.m.
Ordway Hall Auditorium, AC’s Washington Street Campus
Reception to follow: College Union Building, Oak Room
Associate Degree Nursing Program Pinning (RN)
Thursday, Dec. 15 at 6 p.m.
Central Church of Christ Sanctuary, 1401 S. Monroe St.
Reception to follow at church
December graduation for Amarillo College will be at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 16 at the Amarillo Civic Center. All the nurses being pinned will be included in that celebratory event as well.
