"God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference."
Reinhold Niebuhr
Michelle is from Amarillo. She got her start at Amarillo College, and when she was a student she always felt a sense of community at Amarillo College. Coming back to teach seemed like a natural choice.
In her free time she loves to read, travel, snuggle with her bulldog, and spend time doing anything that involves her family! Her favorite show is Grey's Anatomy. Her dream is to buy an airstream and spend some time traveling all over the U.S.
Michelle earned her Associate of Science in Speech Communication from Amarillo College. She graduated from West Texas A&M University with a B.A. in Speech Communication, and enjoyed it so much that she stayed to complete her Master's degree. She is currently working on her Ed.D in Higher Education at Texas Tech University.
What she likes most about teaching is helping students gain confidence in themselves. She believes that with the right amount of confidence, a person's whole world can change. For her, speech is important because whether it is speaking in public or communicating one on one, if you are a competent communicator you can handle yourself in any situation.
