Marcie Robinson 2

Marcie loves teaching because it's challenging, unpredictable and fun.  She enjoys meeting and connecting with students and watching their progress over the term. For her, speech is extremely important.  She says that "There is no part of our existence that doesn't require communication, so learning the background and theories surrounding communication is a key element of a well-rounded education, relationship, a better job, higher grades and more confidence."  Besides spending time with her family and friends, she likes to read, listen to music, watch TV and movies and explore the endless supply of podcasts.

Marcie was born and raised in Amarillo and graduated from Amarillo High.  She earned her Associates Degree from Amarillo College in Radio/TV Production and continued her education at West Texas A&M where she received a bachelors degree in Radio/TV/Film and later her Masters Degree in Speech Communication.

It is hard for her to choose a favorite TV show but The West Wing, Friends, and Friday Night Lights are some of her favorites.
