Ann enjoys reading, playing games on her iPad, sitting on her back porch watching her dogs play, and working with flowers in her container garden.  Her mom always loved sitting on the porch and working in the garden, so she keeps her garden going to honor her mother.

Ann likes working with students to gain confidence and to overcome their fear of speaking in public.  She likes to see them progress through the course and she enjoys their creativity, resourcefulness, and chatter.  She believes that speech is a life skill. She thinks that no matter what career path you take or even if you are a stay at home parent, being a competent communicator will always give you an advantage.

She grew up in Lamesa, TX in a small farming community.  As an undergrad, she attended Lubbock Christian College for two years and finished at West Texas State University.  She has a Masters degree in Communication from West Texas A&M.

Her favorite show is Designated Survivor.  She considers it to be challenging, intriguing, and political, saying that it reminds her of her all-time favorite TV show, The West Wing.  She also likes to watch The Bachelor because she says that those women are crazy!
