Cassie was born and raised in the DFW Metroplex and later moved to Stinnett, TX and stayed there until she graduated high school.
She obtained her undergraduate degree in Speech Communication with an emphasis in Corporate Communication from West Texas A&M University. From that same university, she graduated with a Master’s degree in Communication Studies with an emphasis in Organizational Communication.
Cassie loves to see her students evolve from the beginning to the end of each semester, starting with "I hate giving speeches" to “that wasn’t as bad as I thought”. For her, speech is important because it's what differentiates humans from any other species, and we have to preserve it and amplify it so that we always evolve and grow.
She loves extreme coupon shopping but likes to clarify that it's not like you see on TV. She also enjoys gardening and quilting, saying that on the inside she must be a 90-year-old woman! Cassie enjoys watching This Is Us and Grey’s Anatomy. Her favorite all-time show is Friends.
