Visiting Spanish clarinetist to present recital, masterclasses and a lecture at AC

Jiménez, director of Asociación Filarmonia in Ávila, Spain, will visit AC April 6-15. His guest-artist recital will be on Sunday, April 9, beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the Concert Hall Theater on AC’s Washington Street Campus.

The guest artist will be assisted at the recital by Camille Nies, Music Department chair, on viola, and Dr. Diego Caetano, assistant professor of music, on piano.

The recital is free and open to the public, and it will feature masterpieces by Mozart, Schumann and De Falla.

Jiménez will give a lecture on the topic of Spanish Music Education at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 13 in the Music Building’s Choir Room. The public is invited to attend.
