AC Appoints Dr. Mychal Coleman as Vice President of Human Resources

Amarillo College is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Mychal Coleman as its new Vice President of Human Resources.

Coleman brings more than two decades of experience in higher education and organizational leadership, with a proven record of transforming HR departments and fostering collaborative, high-performing workplace cultures. His leadership has earned national recognition for innovation and excellence in human resources, and he is widely respected for building strong, strategic partnerships that advance institutional goals.

Holding a doctorate in organizational development, Coleman combines scholarly expertise with practical leadership. His background as both an educator and HR executive reflects a deep commitment to creating environments where employees and students can thrive.
