AC Jazz Ensemble & Vocal Jazz to Deliver High-Energy Joint Performance
Amarillo College invites the community to experience an evening of dynamic, high-energy music as the AC Jazz Ensemble and Vocal Jazz come together for a joint concert at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 18. The performance will take place at the Concert Hall on the Washington Street campus and will showcase the full spectrum of jazz talent at AC—instrumental and vocal—on one exciting stage.
Directed by Nathan Fryml, AC professor of music, and Austin Brazille, AC instructor of music, this annual event is known for its energetic performances, enthusiastic audiences, and the rare chance to see both sides of AC’s jazz program shine in a single night.
“This is always a great event with exciting performances and a lively crowd,” Fryml said. “It’s fun to see the vocal and instrumental sides of music life at AC represented on the same stage and in the same evening.”
The Vocal Jazz group will perform music by The Real Group, Pentatonix, and a selection of holiday favorites—offering an early start to the seasonal spirit. The Jazz Ensemble will bring its own set of vibrant, stylistically diverse pieces, promising a concert filled with rhythm, harmony, and impressive student musicianship.
The event is free and open to the public.
